Frequently Asked Questions

What is your minimum? My minimum is $80, which covers tiny, quick tattoos.
Which 717 Tattoo do you work at?I'm at the Highspire shop Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I'm also at the Harrisburg location on Sundays.
Do I need a deposit to book?Yes, a deposit is required to schedule a tattoo appointment. Consultations, however, are free.
Can I bring someone with me?Absolutely! Feel free to bring an emotional support human or two, as long as they're 18+.
Are there any spots you won't tattoo?I don't tattoo the palms of hands, the soles of feet, the inner lip, eyelids, armpits, or genitals. Exceptions might be made for regulars of mine.
Do you tattoo on melanated skin?100%. If you're looking for a color tattoo, I'm more than happy to find a color palette that works for you.
Do you tattoo minors?717 Tattoo will only accept clients ages 16 and up. I do tattoo 16 & 17 year olds, but there are some caveats. Nothing on the hands/fingers, or from the neck up. Obviously no tattoos in intimate areas either. Minors are also required to bring certain paperwork and have a guardian present. See the waiver section of the main page for more information.
What style do you do?I don't have any particular style as of right now. I love bold, whimsical, heavily stylized designs that could lean in a number of different directions.
Do you have flash designs?I do! They can be found on my Instagram, and they're available to browse at both shops as well.
Do you take walk-ins?If I have the availability, yes! You're more than welcome to call or stop in!
Do you take card, or only cash? The shop accepts cash, card, 717 Tattoo giftcard, CashApp, and Afterpay. We can also split payments between multiple payment methods.
I'm going to the beach/pool/lake very soon, can I still get tattooed?Nope. It's best to wait til after you come back from your vacation plans. Bodies of water, natural or otherwise, are full of bacteria that can cause infections. Sand is abrasive and also full of bacteria and other organisms. Not only that, but you'll be exposed to UV rays while you're healing, which isn't good for a healing tattoo. UV can damage new tattoos, and your tattoo (which is essentially a pretty wound) will be heat sensitive as well. Make your appointment after you've come back and you're positive that you have no sunburn or other skin damage.
Are touch-ups free?It depends. Generally speaking, touch-ups are free for up to a year after your tattoo was initially done. However, any tattoos on your hands/fingers or the sides of your feet are not eligible. Additionally, any tattoos damaged by improper aftercare are not eligible, e.g. going to the beach right after getting a tattoo.
How the hell do you pronounce your name?Liev is pronounced lee-yehv. You're also welcome to call me Li, pronounced lee.
